Departure Location: Riosultravel Kiosk, Avenida da República, Vila Real de Santo António.

Morning Safari: Explore the nature reserve, mountains, and timeless villages in our Land Rover jeeps, including an organic farm visit.

Lunch Stop: Arrive at the beautiful “Quinta do Rio” in Foz de Odeleite for a swim, traditional lunch, and live music.

Afternoon Cruise: Board our private boat to sail down the Guadiana River back to the coast.

Return Location: Same location as departure.

We went on the Super Safari. We were picked up in a jeep, right on time, at our hotel and driven to the meeting point in Vila Real da San Antonio. During this drive, our driver George (Jorge), already told us about Portugal and its culture. At the meeting point, we met our driver for the tour and she was for Dutch speaking guests. Alida, alias "Max", was great, knowledgeable and fun. During the drive, we daw the salt pans, flamingos 🦩🦩 and cork trees, all with a good explanation. We also stopped at an organic farm for some tasting. For lunch we arrived at the farm and had a very nice meal from local produce. One suggestion I would make is to add an extra glass so people can have wine and also some water with. The entertainment of local Portuguese songs was great and lots of fun. The return was by boat on the river Guadiana. It was relaxing and by bringing the keyboard player very soon there was a party atmosphere. Overall we had a great day.

We've been on a few Land Rover tours and this was the best by far. We got to see the rural eastern Algarve away from the beach resorts: a whole different scene of traditional farming and villages in a beautiful, unspoilt landscape. Jorge, our guide, was both knowledgeable and passionate about the region: we learned so much about its history, nature, fruit crops, salt production, cork harvesting. The tour included a visit to a lovely organic farm with all sorts of local products on offer at very reasonable prices in the little shop; a hearty lunch at a village restaurant; and a stop-off at Azinhal, where the bakery does dreamy pastries & great coffee for a few euros. This excursion is very different from a lot of off-road tours, and all the better for it. It's planned with respect for nature and local people's livehoods. We'll go again next time we're in the Algarve. Great value and thoroughly recommended.

The tour was wonderful. Great for getting off the beaten path. Joaquim was a fun and informative guide. I loved the visit to the organic farm. I had a delicious lunch with singing by the guides. It was fun to tour together with French, German, and Dutch tourists. The boat trip on the Guadiana River was relaxing. I highly recommend this tour.
